ACCESSIBILITY

1. Accessibility Requirements and Applicable Standards

The requirements for digital accessibility are outlined in Legislative Decree No. 82 of May 27, 2022, "Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 17, 2019, on accessibility requirements for products and services", which references the UNI EN 301549 standard for technical details.
Specifically, website compliance must be assessed according to the criteria in chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-web content”, which reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA.
The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility as defined by WCAG 2.1 are:
  • Perceivable – Content is presented clearly and understandably.
  • Operable – The interface is easily navigable for all users.
  • Understandable – Information and operations are intuitive and easy to interpret.
  • Robust – The site is compatible with commonly used assistive technologies.
Based on the aforementioned UNI EN 301549 standard, which clearly lists 50 success criteria to evaluate website accessibility, technical analyses were conducted regarding the site’s content. This includes both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and interactive functionalities such as digital form processing and completion of authentication, identification, and payment processes.
Exemptions from Application

Article 1, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022 states that the provisions do not apply to the following web content and mobile applications:
  • time-based pre-recorded media published before June 28, 2025;
  • office file formats published before June 28, 2025;
  • online maps and mapping services, provided that essential information for navigation is made available in an accessible digital format;
  • third-party content that is neither funded nor developed by the relevant economic operator nor under its control;
  • web content and mobile applications considered archives, containing only content not updated or edited after June 28, 2025.

2. General Description of the Service

This site is aimed at end consumers and offers an online shopping service for the Autry brand, allowing users to discover, select, and purchase the company's products, including sneakers for men, women, and children, as well as clothing and accessories. Users can browse the site using filters, add items to their cart or wishlist, register for a personal account, and manage orders, returns, and personal details. In addition to the full purchasing process, the site also allows subscription to the brand's newsletter, locating the nearest store, consulting customer service, and contacting the company.
3. How the Service Works

The site is accessible from desktop, tablet, and smartphone devices via major browsers and is available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, and Korean.
Navigation is designed to be intuitive and consistent, through a main menu that provides direct access to key sections (women’s, men’s, and kids’ products, store locator, and company information).
Below is a detailed breakdown of the main services offered on the site:
  • Browse products: Users can view products by accessing menu items organized by women, men, and kids, and selecting the desired product type from the dropdown.
  • Add to wishlist: Users can save favorite products by clicking the dedicated icon on the preview or “Add to wishlist” on the product page. All saved items are visible on the “Wishlist” page, accessible from the menu. From there, items can be added to the cart or removed.
  • Make a purchase: Users can purchase desired items by selecting the product and clicking “add to cart” after choosing the size. To complete the checkout, users must click the cart icon, proceed to the next screen, log in or enter details without registering, and select a payment method. Once all fields are filled, the order can be submitted.
  • Buy a gift card: Users can purchase a gift card through the dedicated menu section. A short form must be completed with the required details, and the card is added to the cart. The checkout continues as with any other product.
  • Access personal area: Users can register and access their personal area by clicking the icon at the top and entering the necessary information to log in or create an account.
  • Request a return: Both registered and non-registered users can submit a return request via the “Request a return” section in the footer by completing the dedicated form. Registered users may also do this from their personal area.
  • Search navigation: Users can search directly by entering keywords in the search bar at the top of the page (header).
  • Filter navigation: Within product pages, users can refine results using various types of filters.
  • Submit an inquiry: Users can request information via email, phone, or by filling out a contact form available on the “Contact” page accessible via the footer menu.
  • Consult customer service: Users can access a FAQ page dedicated to customer service by clicking the related menu item in the footer.
  • Subscribe to the newsletter: Users can subscribe by entering their email in the footer’s dedicated section and clicking the “subscribe” button.
  • Consult the store locator: Under the “our stores” menu, users can view all brand store locations worldwide, including store name, address, opening hours, and phone number. By clicking “get directions,” users are redirected to Google Maps for navigation guidance.
  • Become a reseller: The site allows users to apply to become a brand reseller by filling out a contact form available on the dedicated page, accessible via the footer menu.

4. Compliance with Accessibility Requirements

To enhance accessibility and user experience, FFW S.r.l. has integrated the UserWay PRO accessibility widget into the website covered by this statement. Its use is completely free for users and improves the site's compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
UserWay PRO provides various features to improve website accessibility and user experience, accessible via a dedicated panel by clicking the widget icon or using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+U, including the following:
  • Screen Reader: Reads all page content aloud without requiring an external reader.
  • Dictionary: Provides access to dictionaries without leaving the website. Essential for users with cognitive disabilities or non-native English speakers.
  • Larger Text: Increases text size with four levels, making all parts of the site more readable.
  • Saturation: Adjusts site color intensity to high, low, or grayscale.
  • Contrast: Inverts site colors or switches between light and dark contrast modes.
  • Smart Contrast: Ensures full ADA-compliant color visibility across the site.
  • Highlight Links: Highlights clickable elements (links, buttons) with high-contrast colors for better visibility and usability.
  • Pause Animations: Pauses automatically moving or updating content that may hinder accessibility or cause seizures in at-risk users.
  • Text Spacing: Adjusts spacing and line height for better readability, particularly for dyslexic and low-vision users.
  • Line Height: Increases line spacing to improve reading comfort.
  • Text Alignment: Aligns site text to left, right, or center for more accessible reading experiences.
  • Dyslexia Font: "UserWay Dyslexia Friendly" font enhances readability for users with dyslexia.
  • Big Cursor: Enlarges the default cursor by 400%, keeping it visible and improving accessibility when navigating links, tabs, and form fields.
  • Tooltips: Displays alt text and ARIA labels on hover. High-contrast and easily readable for low-vision users.
  • Page Structure: Quickly displays page headings, landmarks, and links clearly and accessibly to help all users navigate more easily.
Beyond these user-accessible features, the UserWay PRO widget can detect and correct many non-compliance issues in real time, without altering source code but only the content rendered by the browser. This makes the site more usable for all, including users relying on assistive technologies.
Web content accessibility for users utilizing assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, alternative keyboards, voice commands) is further supported by ARIA attributes. These describe the role, state, and properties of UI elements, communicate dynamic interactions (e.g., expandable menus, modals, sliders) to screen readers, and facilitate keyboard navigation in complex components.
